About the site

This website originally started as a school project, where we had to choose a subject we cared about and build a site around it from scratch. Since Super Mario has always been one of my comfort franchises, I chose that, as it just felt like the obvious choice.

The version you're looking at now is a refreshed take on that idea. Instead of just leaving it as an old assignment, I wanted to turn it into a cleaner and more personal Mario wiki with updated pages, better structure, and room to grow over time.

So this site is partly a fan project, partly a design/development exercise, and partly just an excuse for me to spend more time in the Mushroom Kingdom.

About me (the author)

My name is Sara, a Multimedia Designer and Concept Developer based in Copenhagen.

I'm interested in design, coding, and how digital experiences can feel both clear and personal. I also just enjoy creative work in general, especially drawing, writing, and building visual ideas from scratch. My first real Mario game was New Super Mario Bros. for the Nintendo DS, and since then the series has stayed one of my biggest comfort franchises. I love how playful, colorful, and imaginative that universe feels.

Over the years, a handful of Mario games have stood out to me for very different reasons— some for their stories, others for their creativity, nostalgia, or sheer sense of fun. Below, I've gathered five favourites that have shaped my connection to the series.
